Description

Small, triangular projectile points became much more frequent in use during the Middle Woodland period. Some archaeologists believe they represent widespread use of the bow and arrow and an accompanying change in the status of hunters during this time. These points come from a Late Woodland site in Page County in northwestern Virginia.
